Struggling with recovering from a knee injury, the young defenseman doesn't know what to make of his attraction to Liz-after all, she's his teammate's woman, right? As an older player, Fredrik's been around the rink a time or ten, and he knows he has an awesome thing going with Liz. He envisions a future with her, but isn't sure how their interludes with Red fit into the long-term picture.

Liz thinks Fredrik's her forever-guy, but her sudden attraction to Red is causing doubts. The more they play together in the bedroom, the more their outside lives-and emotions-become entangled. When the unthinkable happens, all three must take a hard look at what they want and make some surprising decisions in the process.

Review This Product No reviews yet - be the first to create one! Need help? After reading Cold as Ice Book 2 , I wanted to change places with the team massage therapist. Fredrik Nieminen is hoping that at 37, he can still come back after a knee injury and play another year. His roommate, Rick Armstrong, is one of the new kids on the team.

Rick is also rehabbing a knee injury, but you bounce back easier when you're Liz Langer has been seeing Fredrik for several months and wants to take her relationship with him to the next level. Liz and Fredrik invite Rick to join them for an erotic romp in the living room one evening. Rick seems to enjoy the threesome, but escapes to his room as soon as it ends. The next morning, it's obvious that Rick is embarrassed to be anywhere near Liz.

I just loved the way Ms. Carr develops Rick's character. He comes from a small town in New Hampshire, where his parents have raised him with a very traditional upbringing. He was brought up with the "bro code" where you don't go after another guy's girl. How could he possibly share his roommate's girlfriend?

And worse still, how would he ever explain the situation to his parents! Carr manages to create quite a drama between a 23 year old's libido and his vision of how life should be. It's sweet, funny, and you can't wait to see which way Rick will jump! Can we expand the Buffalo Intimidators roster so that we have several more installments in the series?

I'm looking forward to Book 4!

This story starts out blazing hot and never lets up. Fredrik and Red are roommates and teammates. They both play professional hockey for the Buffalo Intimidators. Fredrik and Liz have been talking about adding a third to their relationship. They feel as though this would be a great fit for them as well. Liz suggests they ask Red to be their third. She has always been attracted to him.

One night Red walks in on Fredrik and Liz, they see this as the perfect opportunity. He is invited to join them. Immediately after they are finished the guilt and uneasiness sets in and he runs from them. It brings up a lot of valid points such as children, family, public eye and the team.

Red is really confused about how this situation could ever work. I loved how honest this story is was. They all struggle in their own way to try to be honest with themselves about what they truly want and need. There are a lot of personal obstacles that they must learn to work through and we get to experience that right along with them.

And in the midst of all the confusion, and second thoughts about making anything real and permanent, we get to enjoy a lot of sweaty sheet scratching sex. Carr has a great talent for writing erotic scenes that leave you needing a fan and a drink. Also this book mainly delves into the characters lives, so there is not a lot of actual hockey action.

We do get a few snippets of characters from the previous books. Not a lot, but just enough to let us know they are happy.

The next morning, he was the first into the kitchen. After starting a pot of coffee, he got his customary bowl of cereal and container of yogurt and sat at the breakfast bar. Not long after, Red came stumbling into the kitchen, pushing the ginger-colored hair that had earned him his nickname out of his face and reaching for the coffeepot before it had even finished its brew cycle. Considering how often they had to be up early for practice or games, it was pretty funny how much Red hated mornings.

Fredrik usually steered clear of him for the first hour or two, and so he continued to eat in silence as Red slurped his coffee like drinking it was a timed Olympic event. With a shake of his head, Fredrik brought his empty bowl to the sink, rinsed it, and put it in the dishwasher.

He and Red had agreed at the beginning of the summer that each of them would put their dishes in the dishwasher immediately, rather than letting the dirties gather in the sink and smell the place up. Neither of them was a clean freak, but through the years Fredrik had learned a few tricks that made living with another guy a little easier. Not letting the house become a pigsty was one of them. Turning, he surreptitiously studied Red.

He was a good-looking guy. Besides the red hair, which women seemed to think was adorable when they did pay attention to him, the kid had green eyes and pale skin dusted with freckles. Due to the nature of his occupation, he obviously had a nice body and was a good guy to boot. Fredrik shook his head again to clear it. Red continued to slump in his barstool, mainlining caffeine, and Fredrik left the house briefly to grab the paper. What was she playing at?

Ménage à trois Part ii

She was practically flashing the poor guy. He settled in to watch the show.

  6. After grabbing her own cup of coffee, she set it on the counter next to the pot and then hopped up beside it. But then Liz shifted so she could pick up her cup, and his gaze got caught on her, his eyes roving up and down her body as she re-settled and took a sip. She made a face and climbed back down from the counter, opening the fridge and adding a dollop more milk to her cup, and Red followed her the entire way. Fredrik had just eaten, but he considered making popcorn. With a surreptitious glance, he saw the younger man had popped an erection and doubted it was typical morning wood.

Nope, Liz was into the kid, and it looked like he was into her. She got back on the counter and swung her legs.

Distraction & Desire: She was his Distraction. He her

Fredrik smirked. The little minx. Man, the signals she was sending were enough to do any man in, but a young guy like Red? Fredrik figured he was probably picturing Liz in one of the getups she put together for her store windows. Wanna grab some lunch afterward, or will you be at work? Lunch sounds good.

Fredrik sighed. He really did feel a little sorry for his roommate. The older defenseman Fredrik, whom he lived with, had a huge-ass TV. Red liked to say the people were life-sized in the movies they both loved to watch. The season was starting soon, and he needed to take as much time as he could to rest before the rigors of training camp and the marathon season began.
